Myntra is now App-Only, more personalized experience guaranteed

The past weekend started with a bang from Myntra the fashion online giant. The company has started to move to the future by going app-only. Since the app is already on all mobile platforms so no one is left behind. Sometime back Myntra started campaigning about going all in with app-only and some people were not happy with that decision. But like always Myntra was completely focused on providing its customers the best of experience. Therefore started clearing doubts about its new approach. I for one is definitely using this app. To be honest, since the time I had purchased my new Lumia 730 and it came preloaded with the  Myntra app I have only used the app for my shopping. It’s just so much easier and fun to shop through app. Even though the mobile site was easy but the app on a smartphone or a tablet is much more easier to use due to well defined navigations and UI. 

I have been using the app mostly on my 730 although I had it installed on my iPhone 5 too. But since the screen real estate is more on Lumia so its being used more. Well there is no real difference between the apps. Both the apps will give the same user experience. It’s just about the choice of your device.

After opening the app it welcomes you with the ‘Offer Of The Day’. On the top right corner is your shopping bag named as My Bag. Just below the offer of the day you have categories to shop from: Men Women and Kids. Also there was a App Party offer from 15^th to 17^th May where you could have got 50% to 70% off. Shopaholics! Even if you have missed the party don’t get disheartened. These are not one time offers. Much more parties will come your way sooner or later. So get your app now and check for such awesome offers.

You can login into the app with your Myntra Account. Once you swipe down the app you can choose from individual categories for T-shirts, Sunglasses, Shirts, Jewellery, Tops, Skirts & Shorts, Shoes, Bags, etc. The list is never ending and you will never feel like leaving the shopping. The feeling is like shopping at a big mall but from the comfort of your sofa and bed seeing the temperatures soaring above 44 Celsius. Sounds really exciting. Isn’t it nice to be shopping sitting at comfort in your home or office and doing all these amazing shopping for yourself and your loved ones.

You won't believe I have purchased gifts for my husband for our First Anniversary on the way to Nainital. While he was driving I was browsing through latest trends for him. He having no idea about the surprise. The day we returned his gift was delivered and my husband was so surprised and happy. And all because of this new way of shopping  I had the joy of seeing him getting all emotional. Without the app the surprise would not have worked so perfectly. And as for Myntra they have done the right thing to move from website to app-only. The reason being mobile and tablets are bringing more and more traffic to businesses than desktops. As we all know that the current generation is more mobile friendly they would already be using Myntra App. For bringing more people to its app Myntra should partner with mobile manufacturers to preload the app like on my Lumias’ 730 and 535 I got.

As the smartphone market in India is increasing rapidly more and more people are buying smartphones. It would be good for Myntra to get its app on new smartphones and give some cashback benefits to first time users. This will help both Myntra and the smartphone markers get some new customers to their fold.
