Crashing the Pepsi IPL with voting superpower
Hello friends we are back again with the Phase 3 of
#CrashThePepsiIPL contest. Since the time of last post many new advertisements
from Pepsi and IPL fans have come. Even one entry is from Mumbai Indians with the
great Jonty Rhodes in it. So let's walk through some of these entries which I feel are too good to ignore.
One of my favourite advertisements is Selective Hearing from Pranav
Bhasin. For me, this advertisement is the best one. Reminds the child in us who
listens only what he/she wants to hear and rest is just gibberish J. This ad was one of the winner of the
contest and currently successfully running on TV. Pranav and his friends have
really put fan boy sentiment into the centre of this advertisement. The Pepsi
fan salesman can only hear Pepsi and nothing else. For a Pepsi buying customer
he even offers choices but for a boy asking a bottle of water he could not hear
it a single time. The boy asking for water bottle is left in amazement once a
little boy comes after him and takes away a Pepsi. The expression of sales boy
at the end of the advertisement makes you laugh.
My other choice is the advertisement from Keerthi.
This advertisement shows and makes you feel proud of being an Indian. However
different we are in looks, tastes or features but still we are Indians and we do
have something in common. Keerthi shows that PEPSI is one of the factors for
Indians celebrating each other’s company. Even the name of the advertisement is
pretty awesome Rajma-Upma. Both dishes
are on top of their respective lovers food list. The base of the ad is two couples
one Punjabi and the other South Indian. Both trying to beat each other in their
choice of food and are pretty unimpressed with each other until at last they
pick out PEPSI, the best drink with food. And all four are happy in the end.
Another one which I liked very much is “It’s not
just a Soft Drink” by Koninica Dasgupta. The ad starts with two friends sharing
a PEPSI. The boy clearly loves the girl but is not confident enough to propose her. Finally gets a very new proposal idea. While having a
contest with the girl for finishing up PEPSI from glass he puts the ring in
the glass, and when the girl was cheering for her win she was pleasantly surprised
to see the ring in the glass.
Honorary mention for one of my favourite cricketer
of all time Jonty Rhodes. In this ad
he is doing catch practice with Mumbai Indian players and not even a single
catch is being taken. Jonty being Jonty, one of the greatest fielder cricketing
world has ever seen, tries something new. So he uses PEPSI in place of cricket
ball and that brings his desired result the players take all the chances and
the Coach is happy.
So people I have voted for my favourite ads. Now its
your turn to vote for your favourite ones and make that ad to win and get chance
to run among the best of commercials on TV.
I’m
voting for the best ads in the#CrashThePepsiIPL activity in association with BlogAdda from 8th
May to 14th May. Are you?”
